Okay... are my locks suppose to look like this????

Okay, so now I'm in month 9 and while I'm still REALLY lovin' the sisterlocks, I'm growing a bit concerned.
As a member and avid viewer of the links posted on the "lockitup" group comments I've watched the progress (before you go there... yes I know we all have different hair and therefore will progress differently)of many other loc'd sisters with varying hair types, some like mine some not, and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. My locks appear to be progressing when I stretch them out, but if I let them go...BOING-yoing-yoing-yoing... I'm back at a fro. Is this right?
My research has lead me to put water on my locks more regularly (which is helping...I think), but as winter approaches I have to say I'm not sure that... correction... I know that I will not be walking out in the morning with a wet head, too much opportunity to get sick and pass it on to my sweeties... I love my locs, but love my lil ones and husband more. Oh well...
On a higher note... I did take Carmen's advice and tried the Knotty Boy Shampoo Bar. Results? LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT! It smells really nice and it even helped to remove a lot of the shmutz left behind by my Khoret Amen product experiment... another long story.

For those of you who have visited my blog... thanks for your patience. I'm working on getting better at the whole blogging thing. I must say that after getting over my initial reservations, it can be real therapeutic...

Have a Great Week and God Bless!

I've spoken in the "lock it up" group about my locs with permed ends and how I managed the two contrasting textures. I thought I'd show a photo of what it looked like (I know the photo's not the best, but you get the idea). This is a braid out, right after a washing by Tonia of Uncle Funky's Daughter (July at my baby shower)... I loved the way my hair looked when I left there, not to mention I was just thrilled to not have to pull my arms above my head or bend over a sink... as you can see I was majorly PREGO. Although I really dug this look, I have to say that the big chop in August was sooooooo liberating.

Be Patient... I'm New at This!!!

Okay everyone... this is new for me. After being an avid reader of the blogs by Creyole, Blaqkofi (i'm sure I spelled that wrong...sorry, do disrespect intended), Carmen, Brunsli and a host of others, I've caught the bug and I'm ready to share.

Stay tuned there's more to come!
